Hello, I’m Mohammad.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved hearing stories. The medium never mattered: novels, movies, video games, plays, manga—you name it. I’m also drawn to the lore of so many fictional universes, and I can talk about them the way a historian talks about their favorite period of history. I love history itself, too, and the stories that come from it. Even my relationship with my own faith has been shaped by my desire to hear stories.
My love of stories also tends to leave me with a love-hate relationship with nearly every one. As much as I enjoy fiction, I often finish a story thinking that, if just one thing had gone differently, I might have liked it even more. That’s not to say I think my version would be better, or that I’d argue with someone else’s vision for their work. I just can’t help asking, “What if?”
So, taking someone’s advice, I decided to try writing the stories I wanted to read. I hope to share them with as many people as possible, and maybe even get letters telling me how my stories could have turned out differently—or better.
